A lone figure stood on the top of the mountain. From here, he got the perfect visage of his goal. The perfect visage of what he desired. He wasn't exactly dressed in this. His suit. His hat. His cane. All around, he didn't seem to belong. Because he didn't.
He pulled out a pocket watch from his pocket and clicked it open to check the time. "Ah. Will you look at that? It's time to get the games started." He clicked it closed and pulled out a small bag from his other pocket.
"Fire...wrathful, unforgiving, destruction..."
He pulled out a small orb from the bag, a bright red one as it began to glow. He placed it down on the ground as it pulsed.
"Water...free moving, calming, destructive..."
He pulled out a blue orb as it began to glow and placed it beside the red one. The two began to pulse even harder.
"Wind...free, serene, and..."
He pulled out a bright green orb and placed it between the two.
"Earth...immense, powerful, strong..."
He pulled out a dark brown orb and placed it beside it.
"Light...healing, protective, holy..."
A white orb was placed beside the other.
"Darkness...evil, demonic, unholy..."
He placed a black orb amongst them, and he stepped back, holding a hand out.
"As I call upon you, the essence of nature itself, I beseech you! Show me my goal, show me my targets so that I may take upon the world and reshape it in my own image! With this, the world, the universe itself, shall be my play thing! Now SHOW ME MY DESTINY!"
The orbs before him began to spin into the air at a rapid pace, until it began to blur together in a huge circle above him. The sky above the demon began to darken and he laughed loudly. Finally, they all stopped in mid air, shooting off beams of their respective color off into the distance in different directions. He looked out with a little smirk and gave a little nod, his hands disappearing into his pocket.
"That's what I thought.' he said with a nod to no on in particular. As if on cue, the orbs fell from the air and clacked to the ground around him. Though they still brightly shone. He reached down and picked them up again, holding up the dark brown orb, which pulsed as he held it up to the location the beam shot. He chuckled.
"This was the closest." he said as he pocketed the orb and the others in the bag.
"Now it begins."
And his trek toward his destiny began.
