Visiting an Old Friend

It was rare for the mage to be out from his home in the forest, but he couldnt help but come to the mountains of the Shadow Realm to drop in on a friend who was living around these parts. It was a few days ago that Mahado had recived a letter from his good friend, Kurts the Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

Kurts and he go way back, when his parents were still alive. They came to the Red-Eyes villege when he was 5 years old, and Kurts was about 6 at the time, and they had became friends after the short visit. They kept in contact through messages, and have been writing ever since. The letter that Mahado got from Kurts was a bit....troubling to him a bit.

Dear Mahado,

I am writing to you for two reasons: 1) I wish to talk to you about some disturbances that I heard from my fellow bretheren on a curtain warrior we know. and 2) His wearabouts...For some odd reason, he had ventured off into the Dark Realm of the Shadow Realm and hasnt been seen for a while. Its troubleing for me cause I know he's up to something. Come to the location as followed on the map enclosed. Ill discuss with this as soon as possible.

"I hope this isnt just a joke he's playing on me. I never read a message like this from him." Mahado thought to himself as he was making his way up to the foot of the mountain.

Up ontop one of the branches in the woods surrounding the mountains, Kurts was lingering about, keeping eye out for his friend while seeing if anyone else was around. He was pretty on edge....a feeling in his gut really, as he spotted the mage.

"Oh, you came." Kurts says as he slipped down the treebranch and landed on his forelegs. "Seems to me you came just in time. Been a long time since I saw you friend."

Kurts really did consider Mahado to be a close friend...reguardless to the rule that dragons and magicians should never be togeather. It was appearent to him that a friendship can be forged between the two, and knew that it couldnt be broken as easily, as he smiled. "We really need to talk about 'him' though....Its been a couple of months since 'he' left and no word on what 'he's' been up to."

"Whoa!" The mage jumped back at the sight of his friend coming from in the trees. "Man, you need to tell me when you do that. I wouldve gotten jumpy and fired at you." Mahado says as he had his staff at the ready.

He looked over to Kurts, as he smiled a little, patting his sholder. "Indeed it has...so what wa it that you wanted to talk to me about? In your letter you were probably were refurring to Rajal right?"

Rajal....a name that he wouldnt forget. He was a rouge Buster Blader that had strayed from his role as a Dragon Protector, and started slaughtering innocent people who got in his way. He was the number one criminal in the Shadow Realm, and very dangrous. Mahado and Kurts ended up meeting with the rouge warrior once, and barely made it out of the skermish with only a few cuts and brusies. It was a miricale that they even were alive, as a few people ever lived in battle with the feirce warrior.

"Im pretty sure that if its him, then its no good....I expect a good explination too on your thoughts too Kurts." Mahado snapped back from his little flashback as he was looking to his dragon friend for answers.

Kurts nodded to Mahado, as he folded his wings around his sholder, as if it was a cloak over his body. "Yea....Its about Rajal. He's been seen roaming around the Dark World...and then disappears. He's up to something....I can feel it."

Kurts remembered that one day where they had to face off against that warrior....nearly coming close to death with the sword, but was saved by Mahado's quick thinking, by using his Spellbinding Circle spell. If it wasnt for that, he wouldve been killed....and he was greatful for that.

"There's also another thing going on in the Dark World we dont know about Mahado..." Kurts continued as he walked a few steps, only looking foward....an ominous feeling going through the area, as he turned back. "There's odd movement going on in the Dark World...and what I can say is that something big will happen soon. We need to get our clans ready for when it happens...."

Mahado had to agree with him there. Rajal was a force to be reconed with, as he took out many diffenent dragon tribes once before in his journey for conquest of the Shadow Realm. If it wasnt for the Egyptian Gods themselves, Rajal wouldve taken over the world already....but he was defeated.

However the thought that the Buster Blader had something up his sleeve started to eat at the threads of Mahado's mind....wondering if he should even try to participate in a journey as dangerous as this....but with the Shadow Realm at stake, he had to agree with Kurts. "I know. We gotta tell our leaders about this. Ill probably have to head over to my grandfather's place to talk to him....but everyone needs to be ready for what that guy is up to."

Kurts nodded his head as he reached into a pouch he had around his waist, and pulls out a note. "Here, you'll probably need this."

Kurts walks up to his mage friend and hands him the note. "That's a note from me to your grandfather. Knowing that he wants proof of this...that should be more to suffice the old man. Rajal is going to be ploting something big, so we need to get as many folks ready. As for me, I need to head back to my villege and have a word with my old man myself."

He walked away from Mahado as his wings unfolded and then flapped them a bit, only to hover a bit as he was just about to leave.
