He was walking through the forest just seeking for something to battle. He wasn't evil, he knew how to be heroic. But there was something special in fighting that made him obsessed with it. Was it the agility of the fight that made it like a dance? Was it the sounds of blades colliding, that made it like a song? Was it the graciousness of the movements that made every second worth of being immortalized in stone? After all fighting is an art, right?
He had no way to know. He fought for the thrill, he fought to give his life a meaning; he didn't want to die as a simple villager. He wanted to be remembered in story as a hero, and would do all in his power to do so. But for now, the best he did was arrest some low-key criminals, and defeating wild beasts. Some knew him as hero, but he wanted to be known as a legend.
"To save the world...", He though. "I'm never gonna do it if I spend my whole time beating out beasts and green-skinned troglodytes!!!" Percival screamed. At that time, he heard birds fleeing from the trees and the bushes started shaking.
"I must admit I'm an idiot for screaming so loud. But don't you guys think you could put a little more effort into being sneaky?" After saying that, the bushes moved a little more, and then a bunch of humanoid creatures jumped from the bushes, looking like silhouettes, and attacked Percival.
"Well..."he though to himself. "...this'll be fun!... STEEL SWORD SLASH!!!"
The fight was over, and the swordsman had barely won it. He looked at his enemies clearly from the first time since the battle started, and noted theirs appearances: green-skinned, using black clothes for stealth. *sigh* "So they were goblins... I was starting to doubt it. They weren't even close to the strenght of normal goblins, but they fought in a completely different pattern, were twice as fast, and twice as smart... not that it means much. It was foolish of my part to believe they could be anything else. They're the only cowards around these parts. They need to learn the concept of 'fair fight'. Goblins always count with numeric advantage." After he finished thinking this, Percival started to move, and gather on his previous thoughts.
"To save the world... how can I save the world from an nonexistent threat? As far as I know there isn't any evil overlord, great mythical demon, or advanced alien species attacking our world." As he thought these words, Percival went deeper into the woods, in search for a challenge to increase his strenght.

Having finally finished his shopping at Skyscraper city, he was now heading back to his home in the forests ahead, as he was walking down the dirt road. He really did meet with some odd people in the city, but he was in and out of there as he wanted, as he sighed heavily. "I just hope the day doesnt turn out any more weirder than it is...." Mahado said to himself...but he suddenly senced a few presences up ahead as he stopped.
From the looks of it, there was a warrior battleing just a few feet ahead as he ducked into the brushes. "Great...another person...but, is that a Celtic Guardian?" The mage said to himself as he was watching the elf battle a few goblins. When it was over, he couldnt help but wonder what brought this warrior elf to his neck of the woods, and decided to confront him.
"Excuse me there...." He quickly walked up to the Celtic Guardian, as he was just a bit amazed by his swordplay.

"Huh, what!?" The swordsman said, as he readied himself for battle. "Huh... sorry..." Percival said, while putting down his sword. "Its just... well, I was fighting a group of Goblins right about now, and... well, yeah that's it. Too much adrenaline can make people a little paranoid. Sorry, were you saying...?"
After coming back to his senses, Percival finally noted to who he was talking: a Dark Magician! He was amazed. He had heard legends about them, but never though he'd meet one in person, not so soon. Dark Magicians were celebrities, superstars, the Heroes of Darkness, they were powerful enough to stop meteors. And he was seeing one right in front of his eyes, and he had a though that wouldn't leave his head:
"Please, say something useful or just lemme go already!"

"I could see that..." He blinked to the elven warrior. as he couldnt help but smile. "I heard much about you Celtic Guardians...but I never imagined to see such swordplay before. You guys are as remarkable as I thought."
Mahado had read up much on the different types of warriors in his younger years, and found that out of all of them, those who became Celtic Guardians were the honorable, and most skilled in their own class. Having to actually meet one, and see his sword skills was much of a treat to him than anything at the moment.
However he could only tilt his head at the silence that was in the air, seeing that he was staring at him blankly. "Hum? What's the matter there?" He says to him as he suddenly realized that he figured what he was silent about. "Oh...oh wait, I maybe a Dark Magician, but Im still in trainning to be one. Im more of a apprentice than a full fledged Dark Magician." Mahado says to him, as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Oh in-training, you say?" Percival had a snarky smile on his face. "Well, I guess we're kinda of reflections in a broken mirror. I abandoned training. I don't obey anyone, and I don't have to prove nothing to anyone. I know I'm good, but I'm always training to be better. No old man screaming in my ears, saying 'do this', 'do that', 'you failed your test'. You could say I'm rogue. But thanks for the praises. Now I must ask: what is the real reason you talked to me? Certainly it wasn't just to praise me. Or for that matter, say 'you guys' and 'remarkable' in the same sentence, right Dark Star?"
Percival started getting curious about this apprentice Dark Magician, and to what end did he started the conversation.

"I guess we're in the same boat too huh?" He says, as he was a bit amazed on how close this warrior was to how he was. He too had left his own villege to work on his own, ignoring his grandfather's orders to remain, and started to study on his own. By doing so, he was able to learn more about the outside world, and gain more knowldge of magic than he could back at his hometown.
"Oh yes...I didnt introduce myself to you though. I am Mahado Darkstar, and Im rather surprised that your rouge as well. I maybe 'in-trainning' but Im advancing faster than others."

Percival was astonished. He first thought his commentary would annoy the "teacher's pet". He never expected to be answered with empathy. He called the magician "Dark Star" because Dark Magicians are superstars... but ended saying the magician's surname letter to letter.
"Huff. Can't tell if its luck or misfortune, but everything I say accidentally makes this guy smile." Percival though.
"Mahado Darkstar, right? Well, my name's Percival, but you can call me Percy." He said to the magician. "So. You're rogue too? When you said apprentice, first thing on my head was that you were a teacher's pet."

He sweatdropped to the remark on being a 'teachers-pet', as he wasnt one to listen to anyone. Mahado shook his head as he sighed. "No...Im not teachers pet. Im learning on my own and doing so. And your name is Percival? Well I guess its better to call you Percy than anything else." The mage says as he nodded.
He turned to walk down the path they were on as he pointed down the road. "Im acually heading down this way to my cottage. I actually live here...seculded from the others so I can study on my own. Better alone than with people bothering you every single day."

"Now you're talking! Seems like we're very similar." Percival remarked. "Even annoyingly so. But thanks for the directions, D-man. Now I know where not to go. Sorry, nothing personal, but right now I'm trying to get stronger. So the way to go is killing a boar, not sitting for a cup of tea."
Percival was trying to hide it, but he was confused. He felt sympathy for the rogue mage, and even thought of friendship. But he also felt anger, annoyance and hatred toward the man who presented himself as "Mahado Darkstar". How could a mage and a warrior, such complete opposites be so similar? He, who always thought of himself as unique was faced with someone similar in so many ways, yet different in such unique ways, it felt disturbing, like a "reflection in a broken mirror". He tried not to show it, but it was unnerving, and every second close to the mage made him more nervous.
"... bizarre..." the Celtic Guardian whispered.

<This guys is just annoying just as people back home...tch.> The mage though, as he thought back to the people who was trying to push him into studying. Everyone looked down to him as a weakling back when he was young...and eventhough the high mages tought him, he wanted to grow stronger on his own, and not with the help of anyone. Due to this, he left the villege to become as such and never looked back.
"Who says I even do such a thing. I study, work, and practice just like you do with swords. But I wouldnt know since I dont use a sword like warriors do." Mahado says as he was feeling a bit aggitated now....as now he felt as though he really just needed to go back to his cottage, as they came up to the fork the road.
"Well my home is down this path, so Ill see you...."
