Thus far this morning is unlike any other morning for Enthavion. If one were to travel into the mountains and scale the 12,000 foot cliff one would find what appears to be a young man sitting with his legs crossed, his eyes closed, his black hair blowing in the cold wind that sweeps the mountainsides.
For nearly three thousand years (or 15,000 dragon years), at least as far back as he can remember, Enthavion has never neglected his daily meditation. This morning he sits and focuses his thoughts. He starts to sense the world around him. Down in the valley below he can sense the small animals as they scurry through the forest. He focuses in and follows a rabbit. He cannot see the creature physically but he can sense the creatures movement, size and shape. He can hear it's heartbeat and feel it's life essence. The rabbit enters its den and back on the mountainside Enthavion smiles. He thinks to himself *She was out getting food for them.* Because as she entered the den he sensed the 5 baby rabbits that were also present.
His smile slowly fades as he feels a warm sensation on the back of his neck. He again thinks to himself *A warm wind blowing? Up here? From the north?* This is enough to make him open his eyes. As he does a streak of green light passes over in the sky. Enthavion follows the streak with his eyes as it flies to the south and he notes where it stops.
"Well this morning just got interesting." He speaks out loud to himself as he stands up and look behind him. He can't help but wonder who it is that summoned the light from the orb, but he knows that whoever it is they are most likely up to no good.
If this had been a time of turmoil Enthavion would have been more cautious before jumping to any conclusions like that. The power of the six was not something that just anyone would trifle with and many considered it to be nothing but legend. But right now, during a time of uneasy peace, the only reason for summoning that power would be nothing less than domination. Just like it had been nearly 120 years ago, it looked like war would be inevitable.
Normally Enthavion would take his time and stroll down the mountain path to get anywhere he wanted to go but this time the situation was more urgent. "Time to pay a visit to an old friend." As he says this three large white dragon heads appear where there once was a human head. The body soon follows and Enthavion, the Blue Eyes White Ultimate Dragon takes flight.
Although he is tempted to fly in the direction of the light to see who it is that seeks the power of the six he knows that if he does he would reveal himself to them as well. He also knows that eventually the person will reveal themselves anyways.
And so instead he takes off towards the west. As the dragon flies it only takes a quick 15 minutes for him to cross the mountains that lay between his meditation spot and the castle of his closest friends.
He lands in front of the castle and as his feet touch the ground the dragon shrinks back into a human form. He approaches the door and raises the giant knocker. As he lets it fall there is a loud thud that he can hear echoing through the hallways within.
As he looks up at the castle he smiles. Though the decor and outward appearance is still the same as it was the last time he had visited, 5 years ago, he knew that inside things must be drastically different, if nothing other than the fact that Kinasha would now be of age to participate in "grown-up" matters.
He remembered the last time he visited to bring news to Sapphire. Kinasha was only 14 and wanted eagerly to discuss and hear about what was going on but her mother had given that famous line "When you're older."
As he stands waiting for the door to open he speaks out loud to himself. "This just might be the adventure that Kinasha has been waiting for." He grins even more as he thinks of her face lighting up, and then how she'll squeal in delight. He remembers how she would always ask him about the world outside and listen eagerly as he would tell her of his travels and all he had seen.
