Well my name is Daisy, and I am from Puerto Rico so yea my native language is not English it's Spanish so forgive me if I do any grammar horrors...I truly try my best!

I'm a college graduate with a bachelors and I work in a hospital in the X-ray Department. I shoot x-rays at people YAY!!!!!!

I had been Rping for several years, I draw, and I play the Yugioh! card game...yes I am a girl, got a problem with that? >_>

Name's Ken, senior in high school and a special education student. My goal is to be a detective, and I work as an author, already have a book out on Lulu.com. I write books that are kid-friendly because I have a niece and two nephews, along with many munchkin friends. Love video games, like fighting ones, but Dragon Quest, Dragonball Z, and Pokemon are my top three favorites. Also loves to look up different disorders and such, because of the number of kids with mental and physical disabilities my uncle takes care of. I am the co-president of the Duel Club at my school, and have been in the Japanese Culture Club for two years.

Oh, and if I don't talk much to most people here, I'm kinda socially awkward. It takes me a while to get used to talking to other people sometimes, so I just talk to people who start talking to me first or something. Its kinda hard to explain.

I'm studying Java, and I hope someday to be a game developer.

I play many different trading card games, from Pokemon to Yu-Gi-Oh!, from Magic the Gathering to Kingdom Hearts (Yes, there is (was) a Kingdom Hearts trading card game.).

In any case, I hope I feel like I belong here and not like any of the other forums I've been on.

Welcome to Spirit World Nathaniel. If you have any questions about Role Play I will be happy to help. I used to run a Role Play Academy on MySpace that taught people Role Play Basics, Battle RP, Para RP, Story RP and several other things. And please don't feel bad about anything you do. All of us (myself included) were learners at one point, and we made similar (if not the same) mistakes. (I know that I don't have a spotless RP record and at one point was an A1 g-modder.) You'll fit right in here.

Let's just say I've been kicked out of RPs multiple times for godmodding, destroying the universe, destroying the plot, being too much like H.P. Lovecraft, being too little like H.P. Lovecraft, creating a meta-plot, creating a meta-universe, and calling out someone's godmodding. Among other things.

So yeah, I'd like some help. Also, I've been frequently called out for having too short of posts.

Well we're very flexible about the post length. We reward for lengthy posts but don't penalize for not making any particular quota. (We do however prefer that responses be at least a paragraph of 40 or more words.)

As for all the rest of it: If you have a major idea about the plot just post it under Story (in Rules and Regulations) and the staff can discuss it with you before we implement it in the story. However feel free to post any type of story in the Other IC.

If you feel that someone is god-modding then please report it to one of the admins and we'll handle the situation. Likewise if we find you god-modding we'll politely remind you of the rules and make suggestions on how to improve and correct the situation.

And from what I can gather from what you've said I'm assuming (only assuming) that your characters tend to be super powered. As in, your characters have an immense amount of power over time and space or have the ability to move between dimensions at will. Is this correct?

I toned it down this time. My usual characters are manifestations of concepts such as "sentience", "existence", or "concepts".

Yeah, I can see why that would get people ticked off. (Hard enough for some people to get the concept and then once they do they realize it's nearly impossible to defeat a concept alone so yeah...a physical being is the best way to go.)

Also keep in mind that the way to get respect in an RP community isn't by being undefeated or having lots of power. You get respect by having a balanced, interesting and believable character that really adds to the story.

I tried that one time. I got kicked out for a) my character being seemingly asexual, b) my character being seemingly pacifistic, and c) my character not always agreeing with their team.
